HOW CAN LIVING MEDITATION CHANGE ME?

LM is an exercise, and like other exercises, it is transformative if done over a period of time. The more you jog, the fitter you become. The more you practice LM the more you are aware of the state of your mind and how you can focus it to achieve calm and enjoyment.

IS IT A HARD SLOG?

No. You'll get a benefit straight away. And the more helpful it is to you, obviously, the more you'll want to go on with it.

WHAT'S SPIRITUAL ABOUT IT?

Although we are individuals, we are also part of a structure of relationships with other people and things. To achieve happiness we have to achieve harmony with this structure. When we're doing LM we're not selfish and solitary individuals concerned with our own gratification; we're moving toward harmony with the whole fabric of people and things around us.

WILL IT AFFECT MY RELIGION?

No. It's about your own personal resolve. You have the capability to achieve and enjoy, all you have to do is take over your own life, and go for it. LM has nothing to do with any sect or religion.

WILL IT AFFECT MY HEALTH?
It will make you happier, and that must be good. If you can focus your thoughts and deal with problems, you'll be an all-round more competent person. People who are at ease and have confidence in themselves tend to be healthier.

HOW CAN I FIND THE TIME?

You only need a little time. A few minutes a day. LM is one of those practices, like cleaning your teeth and taking a walk, that you continue because they are healthful. After a while you will find you like and want the peace of LM because it's refreshing and relaxing. Finding time won't be a problem because the benefits are so real..

WHEN DO I HAVE TO FIND THE TIME?

It's good if you can find time at the beginning and the end of the day, but it doesn't matter if you don't. Any time is a good time to practice LM.

HOW ABOUT ALL THIS POSTURE STUFF?

There isn't any special posture in LM. You simply have to relax your body, keeping the mind awake and alert. The reason we relax the body is so we don't think about it in meditation.
